Crashgate-involved Symonds aims to return to F1
di StaffJanuary 17, 2011
Pat Symonds has revealed that he wants to return to Formula 1. Together with Flavio Briatore, the Englishman was involved in the Crashgate scandal, and for this reason he is forced not to carry out "operational roles" until 2013.
But Symonds' company Neutrino Dynamics was hired for F1 consultancy work last year, and he himself wrote a technical article in a specialist magazine.
Renault's long-time technical director said at the Autosport International show in Birmingham that he hopes to broaden his involvement in F1 in the near future: “There are still many things I want to do. I am in love with F1 and its engineering aspects. I have a total passion for racing, I can't stay away from it.”
