Stefano Domenicali: The World Council will be able to correctly evaluate the facts as a whole

First of all I want to congratulate the team for this fantastic result, the result of the work carried out with passion, ability and commitment by everyone, on the track and in Maranello, day after day. We had already seen for a few races that the performance level of our car had grown and today we finally reaped the benefits. As for the jury's decision issued after the end of the race, in the interest of the sport we have decided to abstain from starting the appeal procedure, trusting that the World Council will be able to correctly evaluate the facts as a whole.

The compliments I mentioned at the beginning should also be extended to our drivers, who ran a wonderful race. Both Felipe and Fernando got off to a great start, with the Spaniard closed very energetically by Vettel and the Brazilian managing to exploit the space created in front of him. Then it was a long three-way fight until the checkered flag, with Felipe who was very fast with the softer tires while he had some more difficulties with the hard ones, so much so that Fernando was first able to get close and then managed to pass in the lead when his teammate decided not to create a risky situation, in light of Vettel's comeback attempt which was behind them. The situation in the two championships is always complicated but this result gives us further motivation in view of the next races: we firmly believe in our chances of achieving the objectives we set ourselves at the start of the championship.
