Seventy-two times #GoMichael!

There were many testimonies of affection for the Kaiser

Seventy-two times #GoMichael!

Seventy-two testimonials, one for each of his victories in Red, for Michael Schumacher have followed one another up until yesterday on the official Ferrari website, from that of President Luca di Montezemolo to that of Rory Byrne, the designer of all the single-seaters with which Michael has won in Formula 1. Opponents, friends, colleagues, collaborators, simple fans: well-known names and others unknown to the general public, united by their affection for a driver who was the protagonist of unforgettable chapters in the history of Ferrari and motor racing but also for a man shy and generous, determined and kind. Seventy-two voices chosen from the thousands of people who have written to us in these weeks of anguish and worry, which also speak for those who have chosen to keep their feelings in their hearts.
Now these testimonies will all be collected together and delivered to Michael's family. When he reads them he will smile, we are sure of it, thinking back to many episodes linked to the people who wrote to him and he will have further confirmation, even if there was no need, that the big Ferrari heart always beats for him.
Go Michael!

Luca di Montezemolo – Michael, I am always close to you, with lots of affection! The whole Ferrari is following you with me from the pits of this very important race which I am sure you will win like the many Grands Prix you have won with us!

Fernando Alonso – Get well soon Michael! I hope to have positive news as soon as possible!

Giuseppe d'Agostino – In a Team you win. You Dear Michael, you have made us win many times. This time in the Team, all together with our affection and our strength we will help you win.

Gino Rosato – Michael!! What can I say? You taught the world that perseverance, hard work and tenacity make you “The Greatest of All Time”. The memory of our travels around the world, all together, part of something we will never forget... We were one, the Ferrari team, your boys, your second family. We are all still with you, this time in a different way, with our prayers, our thoughts, our belief that if there is anyone capable of beating an adverse prediction, it is you. We are all with you, just like the old days. God be with you, love your friend

Mattia Binotto – In the last few days I have looked at all the photos and dug out all the memories. Michael, inside the cockpit, you didn't leave a cent to your opponent. In our technical meetings, nothing is ever taken for granted. In the morning, always the first. In karting, you "massacred" us. In football, you never let a ball go missing…Our champion! Now I'm sure that as always, you won't give up any cents, you'll chase every new ball...I'm sure, you'll win again! Come on Michael, see you soon! We are waiting for you.

Felipe Massa – Dear Michael, my great friend, you have done so much for my career and I pray for you every day. I raced in my kart race with your name on the visor of my helmet, but now I want to see you as strong as ever, just as you always have been! A big bear hug!

Luca Baldisserri – Michael, I will never forget when in 2000 you came to me to encourage me following the car problem in the Spa race. Your message was clear: never give up! Now I'm asking you exactly this: we want to see you again as Michael as always! See you soon, Luca

Pietro Timpini – Michael, come back soon!! We are waiting for you, TOGETHER we still have to see who will be able to beat your records, even if I doubt that anyone will ever succeed!! And you will win this race too!! You are number 1, I love you!!

Claudio Bisi – Hi Michael, we have shared many victories, now more than before we are all waiting for this victory, the most beautiful of all!

Nikolas Tombazis – Dear Michael, all of us here at Ferrari miss you very much, both for what you achieved with our cars and for the human aspect that you were able to bring to the Team. We know you can do it! Hope to see you smile soon! A hug!

Francesco Uguzzoni – Dear Michael, there is a big difference between a normal person and a special one. You are a special person who truly and always believes in what you do, in what you say and in the way you behave. You are a fixed point in a stormy sea. We have won many races together, you have to do it this time too. Your friendship is a very special gift. See you soon Michael!

Andrea Stella – Michael, friend and adventure companion, even after many tests and races, even when I finally thought I knew you, you always managed to surprise me in something, thanks to your extraordinary skills as a driver and as a man. Ability to surprise in big sporting challenges or in small attentions for the whole team, never taken for granted. These days, more than ever, many moments re-emerge: from the photo of a hug after the victory, from the posters in the factory that pass before your eyes, in the stories with colleagues who know the value of your years in Maranello, from a telemetry of a quick tour that I have hanging on the wall at home. You have shown us, from direct experience, what it means to constantly move the bar an inch higher. Without ever giving up. We wait, with full confidence, for you to surprise us once again in this new challenge. We are close to you with all our love.

Niki Lauda – Michael, every day I follow your improvements and every day I am close to you. I really hope to talk to you very, very soon!

Piero Ferrari – Dear Michael, many years at Ferrari have made you become one of us. You have made us emotional many times, you have given us great joys but the greatest one is yet to come: seeing you again here in Maranello together with your second family, that Ferrari... We are waiting for you!

Rossella Giannini – Every now and then I reread the message you sent us for Christmas and my heart aches. I have a lot of things to tell you. Know that there is a table waiting for you here and it will be at that very table that I will tell you everything... We love you and are waiting for you, our friend!

Maurizio Ravazzini – Michael, you are our great champion, with you we won everything. But you have to win this race... we, as ever, are close to you as one true team. We are confident...Come on, come on, pole and victory!!!! Paccio

Diego Ioverno – Go Michael! If anyone can do it, it's you! Fight and return to give those who love you the joy of your presence. We know what you are made of and what kind of "tough guy" with a strong and tender heart you are. You have never liked losing, neither on the slopes nor on the football fields; this is the most important game to win now. DO NOT GIVE UP!!!!

Luigi Fraboni – Hi Michael, working with you has always been beautiful and stimulating, many challenges, many difficult moments and many satisfactions. You have always been very close to us and you have always shown great attachment to the team as if it were your family. We are very close to you at this moment and, knowing your great strength of spirit, we are confident that you will make it. “Frabo”

Ercole Colombo – Dear Michael, I have photographed you thousands and thousands of times on all the tracks in the world. Your jumps on the top step of the podium, starting from Monza '96, were the "mark" of many victories and many world championships. I am close to you and I count on having the opportunity to take my most beautiful shot: you smiling again in front of my lens. HI!

Giuliano Salvi – One day it will be nice to look back on these days with serenity and consider them simply as a 'long' in a curve of a race still to be played... waiting for that moment to come, a sincere heartfelt embrace!

Giuseppe Rizzo – My thoughts are with an exceptional person, a motoring champion but above all a gentleman. Michael, you have won many races, many World Championships and you are a legend in Formula 1, now win the biggest battle! Get well soon! An affectionate hug, Beppe.

Alex Cinelli – Many emotions and many beautiful memories come to mind to which I hope others will be added as soon as you recover Michael. Ross often reminded you of this too, and now it's something that comes to mind all the time: “Come on Michael, you can do this!” See you soon, Alex

Andrea De Cesaris – Hi Michael, I have imprinted the memory of you when you made your debut with the Jordan F1 at my side. My electrical engineer came up to me and asked me why I didn't do the "Eau Rouge", one of the most difficult corners of the entire World Championship. I asked him why he asked me that question after only one free practice session, because I wanted to get more familiar with that deadly curve, and the answer was: "Michael does it full force"! This was your debut in Formula 1….Today you have to take another equally difficult, full corner, but knowing your determination and your strength of mind I know you can do it. Happy birthday Michael, hang in there.

Cinzia Curti – Come on Schumi, come back among us, I miss your smile and your famous jump on the podium!

Jean Alesi – Dear Michael, not a day goes by at home without my son Giuliano and I talking about you, about your recovery which we believe in and about the times we spent together on go-karts. Now we are waiting for you, and we want to see you as soon as possible on those same kart tracks to run another race together!

Róbert Szakács – Michael, you are our Champion! You are a phenomenon, a limited edition sportsman. The whole world of F1 is with you!

Victor Ivanov – Thanks for all the glorious memories, Schumi. You taught me the value of hard work, dedication, the importance of fighting to the end without ever giving up. You are a true inspiration to me! Be strong now!

Antonello Fiorucci – Michael, do you remember qualifying in Imola in '96? What a ride guys... what a ride! And the overtaking placed on Hakkinen in '98 at Monza? Beyond belief! You've never betrayed me... and you won't do it this time either. Go Michael!

Riccardo Patrese – Come on Michael, our new challenges as cowboys have just begun! Don't mess around, come back soon! I am waiting for you!

Gary Anderson – Michael, one of my fondest memories that I always tell people about in the pub is of this young German boy called Michael Schumacher who in 1991, before making his Formula 1 debut at SPA, came to Jordan to do a short test on the Silverstone circuit, in the southern section of the track. He tells me how after four laps we asked him to come back to the pits to ask him to take it a little easier, and that his response was: “I'm taking it easy.” He proved how right he was when he amazed everyone with his performance and on Saturday at SPA we all knew that a star had been born! Michael, along with everyone at Jordan, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, get well soon!

Gerald Brussoz – Michael, I met you in 2005, after having had the opportunity to work with most of the F1 drivers of the time. I must say that from the first contact I understood that you were a different rider. Different in your perception, different in your ability to adapt to all situations, different because you are very curious, but also and above all in your "closeness" with your engineers and team colleagues. You always understood that to become an F1 Champion, it wasn't enough to know how to drive. For you, all the little details mattered. Your Human Greatness is what made the difference and helped you to be what we all know: the Great Schumi forever. I was present at your last race with Ferrari in Sao Paulo in 2006 (which was also supposed to be the last of your career) and I will remember it for my whole life. This event sums up very well the man you are: a Fighter! After a few laps, you found yourself in last place after getting a puncture. You knew well that your chances of being F1 World Champion again were very small. Despite this, you had one of the best races of your career, making an incredible comeback, overtaking everyone, to finish in a beautiful fourth place. When you turned off the engine for the last time, I shed a tear! You are a fighter on the slopes, but also in life. This will help you, I am convinced, to recover after this accident. We often talked about skiing, as I am from Haute-Savoie and passionate about mountain activities. We all know that these activities are dangerous but the pleasure they bring you is so high that only those who know them can understand... In Grenoble, the mountains, you can see them from your window, they are waiting for you again, come on, you're a fighter! With the help of your family and those who love you, can you give us a race like the one in Sao Paulo 2006? Please!!!

Pina Accardo – I have always been a Ferrari fan, I have loved all the drivers who have driven the "Red" over the years... winners or not, but what you managed to do Michael was fantastic! I wish everything would go back to how it was before and that you and your family would come out of this tragic nightmare! Congratulations Champion!

Jimmy McNamara – Michael, you will go back to skiing, driving, going fast again. This is what you do. The thrill of speed characterizes you. But I hope the road to recovery is like a drag racing straightaway, short and fast!

Sandro Selva – It was way back in 2002 and I was a very young electronic engineer at the first tests on the Fiorano track with Ferrari. Very excited because you were driving in that car and I felt so much responsibility. Upon returning to the control room, after a check on the car, you had taken my position away from me and were talking to Chris about the behavior of the car: I didn't have the courage to ask you to get up and I started working standing on the side. You saw me, you got up, you apologized to me and returned the station. At my hint of protest you replied peremptorily: “No, you're working! I can do small talk very well standing up!” Now the roles are reversed, I'm the one who's making lots of talk about the past while you're working hard to get back to what you were. Do not give up! We are waiting for you!

Donato Russo – Dear Michael, best wishes for you and all your loved ones, for a good recovery, to be great again than ever!

Claudio Bersini – Dear Michael, after many years spent together on the tracks of the world I want you to know that my affection for the great man and rider that you are is with you! Go Michael!

Carmine Celotto – To you who have always kept the accelerator pedal pressed while navigating impressive curves, with trajectories impossible for others, continue to keep the pedal of will pressed, to come out of this umpteenth test! Come on Schumi, we are all with you at your side, with our moral presence, we will continue to talk to you until the day you wake up, when with a smile you will tell us that it's all over!

Massimo Trebbi – Hi Michael, I wanted to tell you that in the 10 years we spent together you taught me a great virtue: never let your guard down and always fight for a great result, both in work and in life. I know, it's hard now, but I wish you good luck in winning the most important race of your life! I'm waiting to hug you as we always do after a victory. I love you and send you a kiss!

Adriano Casolari – Dear Michael, there are many thoughts written for you on this board. I was present at your first test in Ferrari, and I remember that we arrived at the circuit at 7 in the morning and you were already there waiting for us. Now we are here, and we are waiting for you to come back as soon as possible. As you taught us: always fight to achieve the goal! I am sure you will win this battle too. Come on Michael, a big hug!

Francesco Cigarini – Michael, not a day goes by that I don't think about you, your journey, the tension I had the first times we worked together and the beauty of discovering your true essence: a strong man with a smile that smells of family and eyes determined and sincere. That man taught me many things that I carry inside, the strength you gave me I give back to you waiting to meet you again! Go Michael!

Luca Cibien – Don't give up Michael! We want the same grit and determination as when you raced with "la Rossa" and made us dream. What times!

Michele Ayrton Testa – Just look at my name to understand that I have already lost the only myth I had, then you arrived. Do not go. Fight like the last lap in Brazil in Ferrari!

Rocco Leonardis – You have achieved impossible feats, we never asked you. Only now we ask you for a single undertaking, do it for us, let's win this battle!

Stefania Bocchi – Dear Michael, I've seen you win Grand Prix and World Championships, this is the most important race of your life and I'm sure I'll see you triumph once again. A big kiss!

Pino Allievi – Michael, life needs you, we are waiting for you!

Tony Pedigo – It's raining Michael…it's time for us all to come back. Once again it's time to do your best for all of us. We will need your voice when we look back on your, and our, glory days in F1. You have my most humble wishes for a speedy recovery so that you can share all your memories with us for many more years to come. Thank you ”Sir”

Maurizio Arrivabene – Dear Michael, you are and have always been in our hearts, as a man and as a Champion. This time too I'm sure you'll make it and I can't wait to hug you again.

Umberto Zapelloni – Michael, I was there the day of your first Grand Prix, when it took you a few laps to make the world understand what a driver you were. I was also there at your second GP when you had already changed teams, causing quite a few people to argue. I remember that during the Monza weekend when we could still approach you to ask you a question, I asked you, among other things, how you found the brakes on your Benetton. And you looked me straight in the eyes and replied: "but you had already asked me about the brakes at Spa a fortnight ago, you wanted to know what the difference was between the prototypes and Formula 1...". Hit. From your photographic memory. And not only. The small differences between a Champion and a normal man. The Champion remembers everything. And when he feels like it, he talks about everything. Neighbors who become too curious and push him to move to Switzerland. Gina Maria's diapers that he had learned to change. How Ferrari got under his skin and butterflies swam in his stomach... The numbers say that you are the greatest of all, I who was lucky enough to follow you from the first to the last race, to write avalanches of ink about you, to know you, appreciate you, curse you (if it happened, there's no point in hiding it) now I feel I have to and can shout together with your loved ones Forza Michael... On the front page of my pink newspaper I also asked Ferrari to write it on its bodywork. He did it and continues to do it on his website every day... You entered our hearts with your victories and you won't go away. You won't leave without waking up to say goodbye to those who love you so much. Come on Michael stay with us!

Giancarlo Fisichella – Come on Michael, I'll never forget the ride on the bonnet of your Ferrari when I was stopped on the track due to a problem at Hockenheim! I'm waiting for you to play a nice game of football together!

Daniele Dallera – The smile has never been a constant in Michael's public life: more serious than nice. For us fans, however, the smiles, hundreds of them, that he gave us with his victories in Red are enough and we will never forget that last smile, even more intense, because it had the strength of surprise and emotion, which he made when going to find that good journalist hospitalized for his last grand prix of life. Michael Schumacher: heart and class.

Bernie Ecclestone – Michael, it was a long night convincing both Eddie Jordan to let you go and Flavio to take you, but regardless of the lost hours of sleep, it worked well and I'm very proud that we managed it. I've always been a huge fan of yours, so don't disappoint me. My most sincere wishes!

Laura Dalcin – Michael, even if I don't know you, you have been the Friend of many Sundays, you have given life to my afternoons in front of the TV shouting “Come on Schumi”! Now? Now I continue to do it... for you, for your family and for all of us who have followed you at 300 mph for years! You have to do it, give us this PODIUM too!

Gabriele Maurizio – Thanks Michael, you were able to excite with your exceptional way of driving our Red. Don't give up, we are waiting for you!

Hirohide Hamashima – I have many fond memories of Michael. I remember when I met him for the first time at Fuji, for an F3 race. A year later he entered a Japanese F3000 race. We had qualifying tires there which were new for him. He came to me and he asked me questions for two hours. He was already extremely professional, like when we worked together in F1. On the track we were teammates, off it we were soul mates. We shared a great passion for sushi. Once I took him to a famous restaurant. He exclaimed: “I have never eaten such good sushi!”, he looked like a child. He is a great man, I pray that he can show his smile to all of us again

Marco Galli – Dear Michael, I remember well when you were in the car fighting for the victory and I was behind the computer screens anxiously observing those lines and numbers hoping that they didn't show any technical problems. I was often agitated, my heart was pounding, then I said to myself: stay calm, Michael is in the car, he knows what to do, how to react and get the best out of even problematic situations. Now you are running a very difficult race and even if I am not behind you, my heart is there trembling more than then. But it comforts me to think back, like I used to, that you are the best, that you never give up and know how to react even to the impossible. Come on Champion, see you on the podium!

Bobby Goodwood – The most important victory is the one that is yet to come” Enzo Ferrari. Michael, your recovery will be the most important victory!

Eddie Jordan – Silverstone '91, your first time driving an F1: simply incredible, an indelible memory. Get well soon Michael and keep attacking! The Jordan XXXXX

Leonardo Zanieri – Michael this is the longest straight to do as much as possible by opening the throttle and without ever touching the brake. Never stop, go faster and faster until you hit the limit. At that point you have to brake, but otherwise always keep the pedal on the accelerator! Great Michael!

Massimo Balocchi – Dear Michael, we have spent many days together – on the track, traveling around the world – but we still have many more ahead of us. I know how strong you are, you have proven it to me many times and I know you will do it again. I'll wait for you, we still have a nice motorbike ride in America!

Flavio Briatore – Michael, I still remember the first sleepless night spent together at Villa d'Este negotiating your transfer with Eddie and Bernie. You've come a long way since then! You went on, year after year, to win other titles. Now I want to hug you again, as soon as possible, just like we always did immediately after winning a Grand Prix!

Martin Brundle – Hi Michael, we think of you and your family every day, anxiously awaiting good news on what is your greatest challenge today. You have all our support and our warmest wishes in these sad days. We hope with all our hearts for better times. Brundle family

Andrea Vaccari – Michael, sometimes words can help a lot, or a little. Now I think there isn't much to say, I never imagined that one day I would find myself writing to you for this reason: you made us dream, have fun, and sometimes cry with joy, you gave us so much. A great Friend, don't give up Michael, I love you, we love you! I drucke die Daumen für dich

Ivan Capelli – Dear Michael, there are many moments that have seen us side by side. On the starting grid at your debut in 1991 at Spa-Francorchamps. In 1992, when I was a Ferrari driver and you won your first race in Belgium. In the years in which as a television commentator I reported all your victories in Ferrari. I experienced you and felt close to you, like the thousands of fans to whom you gave endless joy. Because of these feelings and understanding the value of your exploits, at a charity football match for the Nazionale Piloti, I asked you if I could have one of your helmets, because it would honor me. Once again you managed to amaze me, because your response was yet another lesson in intelligence and respect. “Ivano (that's what you always called me), I'll give you my helmet, but you give me one of yours”. Michael, I ask you for one more gift. Surprise me again.

Giuseppe Argenti – Great Man, Great Driver, Great Champion! We love you, we are all with you!

Johnny Herbert – Michael, you are in our thoughts every day. Keep fighting Champion. All our love and positive wishes to you, Corinna, Gina-Maria and Mick. Johnny Herbert, Rebecca, Chloe and Aimelia. xxxxxxx

Massimo Massa – Dazzling smile, fist in the air, number 1 tattooed on your skin! GO FOAM DON'T GIVE UP!

Damon Hill – My experience of Michael has mostly been as an adversary, and what an adversary! And the possibility of competing with the best is the greatest ambition a sportsman can have. Michael won more races and championships in Formula One than anyone else, I think racing in the World Championship against Michael allowed you to find out once and for all what kind of driver you were. And I'm grateful that I had the chance to compete with Michael in some epic duels, because he gave me that opportunity. I remember Suzuka 1994 as one of the greatest races of my life, and Adelaide too! Sometimes you upset me, Michael, with the things you said, and sometimes I upset you by coming at you! But all this doesn't matter now. All that matters is that you can recover and return to your family. I wish you all the best in the world Michael.

David Coulthard – Dear Michael, I am very saddened by the situation you are in, and I am sorry for the pain that Corinna and your entire family are feeling at this time, hoping for your recovery. When I think back to our races, many emotions come to mind. This is why I met three Michaels during our time together. First of all the family man. Remember when we went horse riding near Cairns during the free time we had in Australia? Or the after party in Hockenheim, when we sang karaoke together? Petra even ended up in the pool at the end of the evening! Then the driver, incredibly professional and undeniably the fastest of our generation, who still holds all the records earned along the way! Finally the honest sportsman! It would be unfair not to admit that we had many differences of opinion. I will always remember Spa '98, when you arrived in my garage during the race with Jean Todt trying to stop you from entering the McLaren garage! Racing against you brought out the best in each of us, and I can say without fear of contradiction that your talent, commitment and support for your loved ones has taken you to a level that most of us can only dream of. . You gave credibility to my career and made me work harder, drive faster and achieve more than I would have with less fierce competition. I have always admired your speed and commitment and I can't wait to remember over a rum and cola how much more difficult it was in our times than for today's young people! Michael, I am thinking of you and your family, and praying that this will be over soon and that your life can return to normal. With enormous respect, DC.

Giuseppina Terranova – Go Michael! I've been following you since 1997 and I want to follow you for many more years, hang in there Schumi!

Yolanda Rambock – From Venezuela we give you the strength Schumi, my daughter is a big fan of yours, may God help you and give you the strength you need to overcome this moment.

Salvatore Gala – One last overtaking at the exit of this treacherous curve. You can do it come on come on!

Rory Byrne – Hi Michael, many people around the world know you for your great talent as a champion, for your skill and your fighting spirit. However, those who know you well also know that you are a very caring person. I won't forget when about 15 years ago during the testing of the new car, on a cold January day, with the sun setting, you were stopped at the beginning of the Fiorano straight waiting to carry out the last series of tests. We were waiting for some software updates to be installed and everyone was very focused on making sure everything was perfect, when I heard you talking on the radio: “Can anyone bring jackets for the mechanics who are here around the car? They're freezing." Now, in your time of need, it's up to others to take care of you. I am sure that the love of your family, friends and collaborators, and the assistance of the medical staff are providing you with the best care. Overcoming this setback and getting back to well will take great courage and determination, but if there's anyone in the world who can do it, it's you. I want you to know that all of us here at Ferrari are thinking of you and remaining by your side in this great battle of yours. With best wishes for a full recovery, Rory.
