Seventy-two times #GoMichael!

Seventy-two testimonials, one for each of his victories in Red, for Michael Schumacher have followed one another up until yesterday on the official Ferrari website, from that of President Luca di Montezemolo to that of Rory Byrne, the designer of all the single-seaters with which Michael has won in Formula 1. Opponents, friends, colleagues, collaborators, simple fans: well-known names and others unknown to the general public, united by their affection for a driver who was the protagonist of unforgettable chapters in the history of Ferrari and motor racing but also for a man shy and generous, determined and kind. Seventy-two voices chosen from the thousands of people who have written to us in these weeks of anguish and worry, which also speak for those who have chosen to keep their feelings in their hearts.
Now these testimonies will all be collected together and delivered to Michael's family. Gary Anderson – Michael, one of my fondest memories that I always tell people about in the pub is of this young German boy called Michael Schumacher who in 1991, before making his Formula 1 debut at SPA, came to Jordan to do a short test on the Silverstone circuit, in the southern section of the track. He tells me how after four laps we asked him to come back to the pits to ask him to take it a little easier, and that his response was: “I'm taking it easy.” He proved how right he was when he amazed everyone with his performance and on Saturday at SPA we all knew that a star had been born! Gerald Brussoz – Michael, I met you in 2005, after having had the opportunity to work with most of the F1 drivers of the time. I must say that from the first contact I understood that you were a different rider. Different in your perception, different in your ability to adapt to all situations, different because you are very curious, but also and above all in your "closeness" with your engineers and team colleagues. You always understood that to become an F1 Champion, it wasn't enough to know how to drive. For you, all the little details mattered. Your Human Greatness is what made the difference and helped you to be what we all know: the Great Schumi forever. I was present at your last race with Ferrari in Sao Paulo in 2006 (which was also supposed to be the last of your career) and I will remember it for my whole life. This event sums up very well the man you are: a Fighter! After a few laps, you found yourself in last place after getting a puncture. You knew well that your chances of being F1 World Champion again were very small. Despite this, you had one of the best races of your career, making an incredible comeback, overtaking everyone, to finish in a beautiful fourth place. When you turned off the engine for the last time, I shed a tear! You are a fighter on the slopes, but also in life. This will help you, I am convinced, to recover after this accident. We often talked about skiing, as I am from Haute-Savoie and passionate about mountain activities. We all know that these activities are dangerous but the pleasure they bring you is so high that only those who know them can understand... In Grenoble, the mountains, you can see them from your window, they are waiting for you again, come on, you're a fighter! With the help of your family and those who love you, can you give us a race like the one in Sao Paulo 2006? Please!!!

Pina Accardo – I have always been a Ferrari fan, I have loved all the drivers who have driven the "Red" over the years... winners or not, but what you managed to do Michael was fantastic! I wish everything would go back to how it was before and that you and your family would come out of this tragic nightmare! Congratulations Champion!

Hirohide Hamashima – I have many fond memories of Michael. I remember when I met him for the first time at Fuji, for an F3 race. A year later he entered a Japanese F3000 race.
