For Felipe Massa, Mercedes GP could be the surprise in Monza.
Apart from the Top Teams, Red Bull, McLaren e Ferrari, the German team will also be able to have their say on the historic Monza circuit.
“Mercedes showed that they have possibly the best top speed on the straight of all of us and this aspect is important on this circuit. It could influence the final result,” he said.
The Monza racetrack has the highest average speed of any circuit, with long straights with top speeds of 350 km/h.
The good combination between the engine, the DRS and the KERS meant that at Spa Michael Schumacher could finish fifth, starting from last position.
“At Spa our car was very competitive in the fast points and we can start from this, hoping to be able to do it again in Italy” said Rosberg.
