Sebastian Vettel: “I'm happy with the result”

The reigning world champion, Sebastian Vettel, took second place on the grid with his Red Bull behind Lewis Hamilton. His teammate, Daniel Ricciardo, is fifth on the grid.

“My heart rate increased very quickly in Q1, when we realized there was a problem. We managed to solve the problem and everything was fine after that. It was nice to go out and have a different feeling with the car in wet conditions. Q3 wasn't perfect, I would have liked to have had a second attempt – On my first attempt I felt there was a bit of time to gain here and there. At the end of the day it's nice to be on the front row and it should be the good side of the grid for tomorrow – it depends on how our start goes, but I'm happy with the result."

“The weather was our biggest challenge today. I think being in the top five is not too bad considering the conditions. We definitely had the best chance in the wet. The Mercedes was very fast this morning in the dry, so let's see what the weather conditions will be tomorrow. Sebastian has a big gap to me, so I have to see where I can improve to get closer to his pace, which is really good and close to pole.”
