Scuderia Toro Rosso: Bourdais and Buemi's comments after free practice in Melbourne

“It's positive that it was a problem-free day in which we were able to carry out our work without any hitches, even though we already knew that we couldn't be fast enough, given that we're missing various development features, which at this early stage of the season it can make a big difference. I'm happy with the balance of the car on the super soft tyres, except for a little too much oversteer in the high speed corners. All in all, it's not bad and we'll give our best tomorrow, even if I think we'll struggle to get into Q2."

“It was my first F1 session and I had a lot of new things to learn and deal with. It wasn't bad, we tried various changes and improved the car lap after lap. The second session started quite well, but afterwards I had some problems finding the right set-up. Given our lack of testing with this car, today was a bit like a private testing session for us that we used to get to know our car better. It was, obviously, also the first time I had driven on this track and I need to get used to it a little more. I learned a lot, but there is still a lot of room for improvement for tomorrow."
