“We ran with two cars with radically different set-ups: I'm basically happy with mine, while when I tried Buemi's I didn't like it at all. Thanks also to the usual test - like every GP Friday - comparing the two types of tires available, we now have enough data to get an accurate idea of ​​today's situation. We are a little lacking in performance, but we seem to be in a better position than in Turkey and we must continue to make the most of our current technical package while waiting for the arrival of the main development news."

“It wasn't much of a day as far as I'm concerned, because I wasn't really able to get a precise idea about the car's set-up on this circuit. Today, overall, it didn't work out for me as I would have liked. I've tried a different setup approach to my teammate, but I think in the end I'll go back in the direction he chose, as it seems to work better. I hope this will help me, tomorrow, to achieve the best possible results. The tire comparison test went well and the car had no problems. Looking at Bourdais' lap times, I think we can be more competitive than in Turkey, but I will have to improve a lot tomorrow."
