Scuderia Toro Rosso: Confidence in the new aerodynamic package

“In this morning's session, we had the first opportunity to test the various aerodynamic innovations we have on the car this weekend. It's difficult, however, to say exactly how much advantage they give, given that in the morning the track is dirty and you never know how much fuel the others are running on and what tyres. In any case, the feeling is positive and we are working in the right direction. In the afternoon, I had a problem with the rear brakes, which unfortunately manifested itself at the beginning of the second session. So, I lost a lot of useful time on the track, before the guys allowed me to get back into action. This isn't the best way to start the weekend, but we have to adapt. I will carefully observe the data from Bourdais's car and also mine from the second session, taking into consideration how much we think the track can improve tomorrow, when I hope to be able to give my all to progress. The car definitely has more potential in its new configuration, but I think we will need more time than a race weekend to make the most of it."

“Here we have a new package that should give us better potential than in the first races. Unfortunately today, due to a couple of problems we were not able to fully exploit it. However, we managed to complete 60 laps, 30 in the morning and the same number in the afternoon, so we collected a lot of data. Now, we hope that starting from this basis of work we will be able to find a good set-up for the car, in view of tomorrow's qualifying and Sunday's race."
