Michael Schumacher will continue to collaborate with Mercedes. The team principal of the Ross Brawn team stated this to the French press, specifying however that the work of the seven-time world champion will no longer concern F1.
“Michael will have an ambassadorial role, he will participate in some commercial activities but on behalf of the manufacturer and not the racing team” – explained the English engineer – “I spoke to him several times and he seemed enthusiastic about contributing to the development of sports cars. He will therefore always be part of our family albeit with a different function."
