Schumacher could leave Ferrari at the end of the season

Willi Weber, Michael Schumacher's manager, has admitted that the former driver could leave Ferrari definitively at the end of 2009. The 40-year-old German has occasionally tested Ferraris since his retirement from racing, but his main role within the team was that of consultant during tests and some Grand Prix events.

Schumacher's last appearances were in Australia and Malaysia, but here the German only attracted heavy criticism due to the mistakes he made during the weekends, in particular the choice to have Raikkonen fit wet tires when it wasn't raining yet. The accusations from the German press are heavy, but in the meantime Weber guarantees that if the annual contract of 5 million euros is not renewed at the end of the season, the cause of this will not be found in the mistakes made by Michael on the Ferrari wall.

The doubts will cease halfway through the season, when Ferrari will decide the future of the relationship with the German, but in the meantime there are already those who are speculating on a rapprochement between Schumacher and his former technical director, Ross Brawn. Faced with these rumors, only Jenson Button seems to disagree.
