Schumacher fined for an episode in the pitlane
Michael Schumacher was fined 5000 Euros for an aggressive entry into the pitlane. The German in fact passed the marker that delimits the start of the pit lane, violating the sporting regulations.
After an investigation by the commissioners, the FIA decided to only impose a fine since the infringement was committed in free practice.
Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton, Bruno Senna, Sebastien Buemi and Heikki Kovalainen avoided sanctions after an investigation by the stewards for alleged violations under the yellow flag regime. The four drivers had been called by the stewards after having scored the best partials when Tonio Liuzzi had stopped in the second session.
The stewards then established that all the drivers slowed down and therefore took no action.
