Schumacher: “The tests at Mugello helped us”
The German is satisfied with what he learned in Friday's free practice
After today's two free practice sessions on the Barcelona circuit, Michael Schumacher appeared quite satisfied: despite his eighth fastest time, the seven-time world champion believes that Mercedes has what it takes to do well at the Spanish GP.
Schumi felt that the tests at Mugello helped the team: “I'm happy to have had the opportunity to do the tests, they gave us good indications,” explained the former Ferrari driver. “Of course it was very hot today and therefore the track was very slippery, but the car performed according to our expectations. Our feeling for the weekend is quite good after everything we learned in the two sessions, we will now have to carefully analyze the data to understand exactly how to approach qualifying and the race from everything we learned in today's two sessions.", commented the German.
