Sauber, terrible qualifying in Hungary

Sauber collapsed in Hungary, making the cut in Q1 with both cars and light years away from an acceptable performance. With the exception of the Manor, which runs in a separate category, the Hinwill team has effectively closed the normal line-up.

Marcus Ericsson (1.24.843) “It's been a difficult weekend for us so far. We tried to improve the car during testing, working well, but unfortunately we were out of Q1. All we have to do is concentrate on the race."

Felipe Nasr (1.24.997): “It was a very complicated qualifying today. We struggled a lot with the tires due to the high temperatures. On the other hand, the balance of the car is good, but we do not generate as much downforce as our competitors. It will be a tough race, but we will try to seize any opportunity."

Monisha Kaltenborn, Team Principal: “We start in a bad position, we did badly all weekend and the positions reflect our current situation. We need to have a race free of errors and see what can happen. ”
