Sauber: Overtaking remains difficult in Monaco

For Sauber drivers Sergio Perez and Kamui Kobayashi, overtaking remains complicated in Monaco despite the mobile rear wing.

Their comment after free practice:

Sergio Perez – Pos 12:
“It was a good day for me. We had a huge program and did a lot of work. In the morning session it was a bit difficult with the tires because we went out early and therefore their performance wasn't great. In the afternoon I tried the super soft tires for the first time, and also did a long run on them. I really hope that we will be able to do a good qualifying. With the Formula 1 car it is obviously even more difficult to overtake here in Monaco than with a GP2 car. ”

Kamui Kobayashi – Pos 16:
“It was a bit difficult for me today. My car was bouncing too much, so the balance wasn't right and I didn't have enough grip. We have to find something to improve the situation. And so I can't comment on the tire comparison. As for the rear wing, I would say it doesn't make much difference in Monaco. In any case, overtaking is extremely difficult here.”
