Sauber, Felipe Nasr: “It was a positive Friday for me”
Marcus Ericsson, the other driver of the Swiss team, appeared to be in more difficulty
Mixed feelings at Sauber after free practice for the United States GP. On the Austin circuit, the Brazilian Felipe Nasr (13th fastest) appeared much more comfortable than his teammate Marcus Ericsson, the latter only twenty-first.
Felipe Nasr"It was a very positive free practice. I was able to immediately gain good confidence with the car. We've worked a lot with the set-up and it seems like we've taken the right direction. The pace was also good, but it's only Friday. However, it was a good start to the weekend."
Marcus Ericsson"It definitely wasn't my best day. On the positive side, the other car seems to be going strong and so there should be room for improvement. In the second free practice I suffered a lot with the balance of the car, especially with the supersoft tyres, without finding a feeling with the car. There is a lot of work to do."
