Sauber F1: Tire problems for the two drivers in the German GP

Kamui Kobayashi – Pos 11: “I'm not very happy with today's race. I felt the lack of grip on both sets of tires and their degradation started quite early. In qualifying the balance of the car was decidedly better than today. However, I had a good start and gained two positions. The team made a good pit stop. I tried to overtake Michael Schumacher but on the straight the car wasn't as fast as the Mercedes. Afterwards I tried to fight Vitaly Petrov but I had to give up on him too."

Pedro de la Rosa – Pos 14:
“The first laps were very difficult for me with the hard tyres. It was like driving on ice. My race actually only started after 20 or 25 laps, when the tire temperature and grip arrived. Then the car improved with each lap as it became lighter. In the end, however, it was a disappointing race for me.”
