Sauber F1: Ericsson and Nasr at the finish line in Canada in 15th and 18th position

The team Sauber F1 he finished the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal in P15 (Marcus Ericsson) and in P18 (Felipe Nasr). Ericsson and Nasr started the race from P21 and P18, however, the Brazilian's race was immediately compromised on the first lap after a collision with a Renault. The bottom of Nasr's Sauber C35 was damaged. Now the Swiss team travels to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, where the European Grand Prix will be held next weekend.

Marcus Ericsson
“For me it was a good race from start to finish. I think the first part of the race with the ultrasoft tires wasn't ideal, I struggled a lot with grip. Our initial plan was a one-stop strategy, but we then had to go back to a two-stop strategy. Once we got on the soft tires for the two stints of the race, I had a good run and was able to pass Kevin (Magnussen) and Pascal (Wehrlein). Overall a good effort, we even got Haas close. ”

Felipe Nasr
“It was a disappointing race for me. My start in the race was ok, but then suddenly in turn 3 I was hit from behind. I was very unlucky. That compromised my race from there. I did my best to recover, and in the end I was able to put together decent times on the soft tyres. That's how racing goes sometimes, but now I can't wait to go to Baku. I'm always up for new challenges."
