Sauber and de la Rosa ever closer

According to the Swiss newspaper Blick, whose correspondent Roger Bonoit is very close to the owner of the Hinwill team Peter Sauber, the announcement of Pedro de la Rosa's agreement with Sauber for 2010 is expected this week, where he should go to join the Japanese Kamui Kobayashi.

The Iberian publication AS also confirms the imminence of the announcement. The Spaniards say that officialization is “a matter of hours,” or at most “a few days.”

The contract is believed to be for one year, with the option for a further season. De la Rosa's main rival to take over the second helm of the Swiss team is the Italian Giancarlo Fisichella.

Furthermore, AS reports that Sauber has secured two new sponsors, including Universia, a subsidiary of the Spanish bank Santander which previously sponsored Fernando Alonso.
