Rosberg: “One of the best qualifyings of the year”

The German driver, already a protagonist in the first and third sessions of Free tests, took over the top of the standings at the start of Q3 and the others, including Hamilton, had no choice but to share the "crumbs" behind him.

“This was one of the best qualifying sessions of the year,” commented a relaxed man Rosberg at the end of the day – the Team did an incredible job and gave me a fantastic car. It was really fun to drive on this magnificent track with this Silver Arrow. The balance was perfect, so I was able to push hard and get to the limit in the corners."

“With Lewis it's always a great fight – continued the driver Mercedes speaking of his boxing partner, with whom however the gap this time was less subtle than usual - each of us pushes a lot during the session. Sometimes he finds a tenth here, sometimes I find him there... That's why I have so much fun in this situation."

“For tomorrow I would say that we are well prepared: even in the wet our car can be very fast, as we have already seen in Spa. I can't wait to race here and once again I want to thank the incredible fans of Suzuka; they wait hours to see us and give us small gifts. This makes us feel really special,” concluded the German.
