Rosberg: “I'm optimistic, but it will be difficult to stay second”

Nico Rosberg does not believe he can continue to be the second fastest driver on the streets of Monte Carlo during the race weekend.

In Thursday's free practice, the Williams driver was beaten in terms of pace only by Lewis Hamilton's McLaren, but he already thinks he will be sent back a little further starting from tomorrow's qualifying: “I don't think that my result can be replicated in qualifying” – declared Rosberg a Motorsport Aktuell – “However, I believe that we will still be able to remain in the top six. I'm satisfied that our team seems to be in good shape at the moment, but we also need to remain cautious. Beating Ferrari in qualifying will be very, very difficult, but I don't think it's bold to think that we could get behind BMW."
