Rosberg could remain at Mercedes GP beyond 2012

Nico Rosberg in his recent statements he suggested that he might stay in Mercedes GP well beyond the expiration of his current contract.

Here is what the German declared: “We are talking about it [about a further extension of the contract ed.]. We are talking about a long-term commitment as I feel comfortable in the team. It's a very big project. I won't go into further detail."

When asked if the driver is currently looking at offers from other teams, Rosberg said very simply: “No”.

The German was also asked to talk about the perfect and error-free season of Sebastian Vettel: “Perfect? My season was like that too. I made very few mistakes. Like last year, I rode very consistently, but the fact is that we are behind."

Rosberg also declared that he sees Red Bull as favorites in 2012 too: “They will start in the lead anyway, clearly. We have to recover, which will take time."
