"My goal is to win the race"
Nico Rosberg says there is no secret formula to his recent qualifying performance after beating Lewis Hamilton to take a sixth consecutive pole position in Abu Dhabi.
“I'm faster at the moment and very happy with that, I just want to enjoy this moment and I'm happy to be on pole again,” said Rosberg.
“We haven't reinvented anything. It's just thanks to the development and that's it. Before I was always very, very close to Lewis and at the moment he is the one who is a tenth ahead of me. At the moment I'm just faster.”
“Mainly I would just like to win the race because it's a great feeling to win and it would also be a great satisfaction for all my team and my crew with whom I have a good feeling and a good reason to party tonight – it would be fantastic, all the time spent together. So that's what I have in mind, but of course everything we learn this year helps for next year so of course it will be great to finish ahead.”
