Renault could reconfirm Petrov

Vitaly Petrov's reconfirmation for 2011 seems no longer that far away. From Germany there are rumors of a block in the negotiations between the three possible German candidates, Sutil, Heidfeld and Glock, while from Finland Tutun Sanomat spoke of a fabrication in the rumors about Raikkonen's interest in returning to Formula 1.

The suspicion is that the rumors have been intensified to put pressure on Petrov and in particular on his sponsors but it cannot be ruled out that the meeting between Boullier and Raikkonen, to verify the real intentions of the former world champion to return, is not went well.

For his part, Petrov doesn't say he's worried: “I'm not worried, I said so last week too. Why should I fret? I will continue to do my job and I believe that everything will be fine."

In the meantime, the pressure from the team had an effect: in Singapore a new Russian sponsor arrived to cover part of the team's budget.
