"The car was fast this morning in free practice 3, but we only had three laps to test new components that we had fitted to the car. This afternoon reaching the front row is a great motivation for the team. It's incredible and the first time I have seen an incredible effort. The team has been working 24 hours a day for the last few weeks to produce these components and today the time has come to produce results. So, a big effort in Enstone and for the technicians here who don't they slept last night to have a car ready. Furthermore, the Renault engines are the first three in the standings and therefore congratulations also to the Viry technicians. We can be satisfied with today's result and we are motivated for tomorrow's race."

"Obviously I didn't have the new components like Fernando, and I'm disappointed with today's qualifying also because this morning the car worked well after some improvements during the night. I know it will be tough tomorrow, but let's hope for the strategy to recover some positions ."
