Renault, Boullier denies rumors of an agreement between Red Bull and Mercedes
di Staff30 August, 2010
Renault has denied rumors of a possible agreement between Red Bull and Mercedes for a supply of customer engines in 2011. The indiscretion, already denied also by Force India, which should hypothetically receive the Renault units in place of the Mercedes engines.
Renault in Formula 1 is now controlled by Genii Capital and is essentially separate from the French manufacturer, but team boss Eric Boullier has nevertheless declared that these engine rumors are "nonsense".
The rumors have also been denied by Mercedes and McLaren, with the Woking team enjoying a right of veto on a possible agreement between Red Bull and the Mercedes manufacturer.
