Red Bull, Verstappen: “Barcelona? It all depended on me."

In a short interview given during a Red Bull event in Holland, Max Verstappen returned to talk about the Spanish Grand Prix, an event that gave him his first success at the wheel of a Formula One car. The 19-year-old Dutchman, when asked about the issue, underlined how despite the enormous pressure from the press and the doubts linked to his young age, his driving was not affected by everything that happened outside the paddock. The Dutchman focused on himself and his goals, achieving a historic success that allowed him to join the elite of drivers linked to the world of Formula One.

Here are the words of Max Verstappen: “To be honest it wasn't too difficult a weekend. Ok, they were coming off a series of bad results and the press pressure on me was enormous, but once I got out on track I concentrated exclusively on my job. I knew that everything was in my hands and I made the most of the opportunity, fulfilling a dream. It was one of the simplest weekends as far as I'm concerned because I knew that I had everything to gain from a few Grand Prix."
