Red Bull: “No team order, may the best win”
di StaffNovember 4, 2010
Dietrich Mateschitz, owner of Red Bull, reiterated that the Austrian team will not give any team orders to its drivers, Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel.
According to many in the paddock, Sebastian Vettel no longer has any chance of winning the world championship and should therefore help Webber, who is only 11 points behind Fernando Alonso.
“This is a sport and the best should win,” Mateschitz explained to Der Spiegel.
“Power, politics, manipulations etc. should be kept at a distance. The game is 'come and pass me if you can', and not 'let me pass because I'm better'” reiterated Materschitz. “Racing must remain racing” he added.
And speaking of Webber and Vettel he declared: "They have different personalities but they are equally fast."
