Red Bull, Marko: first driver status unlikely for Webber

The recognition of Mark Webber as first Red Bull driver seems increasingly unlikely. After once again beating his teammate Sebastian Vettel at Spa two weeks ago, the Australian had suggested that the team should favor him in the race for the drivers' championship.

But the 34-year-old has a less than idyllic relationship with team advisor Helmut Marko, especially after the Silverstone controversy linked to the new front wings and consequent discontent of Webber who on that occasion defined himself as "number 2 of the team".

“A few races ago Webber asked for more equality!” Marko told Sportwoche about Webber's claim for No. 1 status.

Marko also criticized Martin Whitmarsh who after the Belgian GP defined Vettel as the "crash kid" of F1.

“Theirs is not a correct way to fight for the championship” commented Marko.
