Red Bull: Mark Webber in controversy with the team for the disappointing fifth place on the grid in Monza

Mark Webber has said he and his Red Bull team must share the blame for his disappointing fifth place on the grid at the Italian Grand Prix.

The Australian has had KERS problems since the start of the session, and making just one run in Q3 was clearly the wrong choice.

Even though Webber wasn't an outright leader this weekend, he was confident that he was capable of joining teammate Sebastian Vettel on the front row.

“Yesterday in FP2 I did a great lap, but I didn't have KERS for that lap, but my pace was still very good. This morning wasn't too bad either,” Webber said.

“Seb was fast here, for sure. But the McLarens were certainly within my reach, there's no doubt about it.”

“We didn't manage everything correctly, the program wasn't organized in the right way on my side of the garage, and this didn't help the situation. We got what we deserved in the end.”
