Red Bull, Mark Webber: “Two very positive days here in Jerez”

Tomorrow it will be the turn of world champion Sebastian Vettel

Mark Webber completed his first two days at the wheel of the Red Bull Racing RB9 with a further 101 laps of the Jerez circuit today. After setting the fourth fastest time with 1:19.338, he stepped out of the car and said he was confident that both the car and the team were going in the right direction for the start of the 1 F2013 season.

“I am very satisfied with the car and with myself. I did 170 laps or more, which is a good total for the first two days with a new car. Overall, it was very good. The car gives me the confidence to push.”

“This morning's work plan was quite ambitious. We accomplished most of it and what more could you ask for. People always ask about the times you're doing up and down the pit lane, but, to be honest, I haven't looked at them. We can only look at what we are doing, and so far we are happy with where we are.”

“We learned a lot more from yesterday and I'm sure that will continue tomorrow with Sebastian. I think we put the car in a good position for him. If you ask me where I think we are compared to this time last year, I would say we are in a better position.”
