Red Bull: Problems identified with Webber's car used in Melbourne

Christian Horner said the entire Red Bull team expects Mark Webber to be among the best again in Malaysia following changes to his RB7.

In Australia Vettel dominated, while Mark achieved P3 in qualifying, then slipped to fifth place in the race.

“We found some things after the race, regarding the set-up, which definitely didn't help him. All of these elements have been changed. It didn't depend on just one detail, but on a series of elements, which contributed to greatly widening the performance difference between the two drivers", declared Horner.

The team principal then explained that he had not been aware of the news, reported by the Sydney Morning Herald, according to which a fan had snuck into the team garage before qualifying, breaking a fundamental element of the aerodynamics by leaning on it to a photo.
Mark had written in his article in Australia's Daily Telegraph that he had come close to understanding why his car was so much slower than Vettel's.
But now there is Sepang. Horner explained: “It's a different type of track, on which other factors come into play, such as the weather. A couple of years ago we saw a big downpour which determined the outcome of the race and that's something you always have to be ready for. We had it in qualifying last year and we benefited from it. It's important to keep our feet on the ground to ensure we are at the top of our game in all conditions. It will also be a challenge for the tires: it will be much hotter, but I think they will adapt to this circumstance without problems."
