Red Bull, Horner does not risk his place according to Berger

Gerhard Berger has called rumors of Christian Horner's possible sacking by Red Bull "stupid and unfair". Several media outlets, including the German newspaper Bild, have speculated on a possible dismissal of the Englishman if Red Bull were to lose the 1 F2010 drivers' and constructors' titles despite having the best car.

“The rumors are stupid and unfair,” the former Austrian driver, a longtime friend of Dietrich Mateschitz, told Auto Bild Motorsport.

“Red Bull is in a position to win both titles. A season of failures is a completely different thing” reiterated the Austrian. Other rumors claim that Horner's contract is linked to that of Adrian Newey and therefore the famous designer could also leave Red Bull at the end of the season in that case.
