Red Bull, Helmut Marko admits that Mercedes and Ferrari like Ricciardo

Even in the Australian GP Daniel Ricciardo he demonstrated that he has some talent, managing to close the first race of the season in fourth position, with more than one spectacular overtaking made. That's why she can't surprise you that much big of the championship, Mercedes and Ferrari, have done some surveys on the twenty-six year old from Red Bull regarding 2017.

This was revealed by the person who can be defined as the head of driver policy at Red Bull, the influential consultant Helmut Marko.  The Austrian manager stated that “Ferrari is very interested in two of our drivers, Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo. The red team together with the silver team (Mercedes ed.) he's knocking on our door. But we are certain that we can improve our performance a lot and that we will be able to put a remarkably competitive car on track in 2017, both in terms of chassis and engine."

Red Bull will therefore try to retain Ricciardo, with Marko confident of convincing the talented Aussie driver. In any case, the situation will have to be followed carefully, considering both a possible promotion of Sainz or Verstappen to Red Bull and the fact that Mercedes and Ferrari have Nico Rosberg and Kimi Raikkonen whose contracts are expiring, and it is no mystery that Ricciardo attracts both for “handle” than by character. It is no coincidence that at the press conference in Melbourne Vettel joked with Daniel about his future and a possible move to Ferrari...
