Ramirez: “Perez is too arrogant”
The Mexican's attitude influenced his dismissal from Woking
Interviewed these days by motorline.cc Jo ramirez, for years at the top of the technical department McLaren Perez, currently at Force India and in Woking just long enough for a hit and run in 2013.
“As a driver he's not bad and in the time he spent there he also grew, but they were looking for a new Lewis Hamilton, someone who could be faster than Jenson Button and instead they were disappointed – said the Mexican – The central problem turned out to be his attitude, uncooperative, arrogant. He did not integrate into the group and even among the engineers he was unpopular, not to mention that for Ron Dennis 100% focus on work has always been fundamental, a request that he has never respected. All this meant that he was also frowned upon by the press. To give you an example, last year I was at the Jerez tests and spent time in the English and Sauber garages. Nobody spoke to me about Sergio in a positive way, but everyone agreed in saying that if he wanted to stay in F1 he had to change his behavior."
