Raikkonen: “Not an easy race, Ferrari in difficulty with the low temperatures”

Kimi Raikkonen is only sixth at the end of the Canadian F1 GP. This weekend the Finn never seemed totally at ease with the car and was very far behind his teammate, Sebastian Vettel, both in qualifying and in the race.

“Not a simple race” commented Raikkonen. “Not the best of starts, then I maintained my position. In the second corner the Mercedes went off the track and then also a Red Bull” he added.

“I struggled to keep the tires in the right operating window, when I was able to push it went a little better. The two-stop strategy was the original plan, according to the team the best solution. We will have to do further analysis to understand if a better alternative was possible. In general, with colder conditions we struggle more with the tyres, for a few laps they work better but then they seem to go out of the ideal operating window and we struggle a little more" concluded Raikkonen.
