Has Raikkonen already regretted returning to Ferrari?

Kimi Raikkonen would have already regretted his choice to return to Ferrari in 2014. The Finn had a disappointing weekend in Abu Dhabi, which began with his absence on Thursday's Yas Marina due to a controversy with Lotus linked to unpaid payments. On Saturday Raikkonen was relegated to the back of the grid due to uneven surfaces and on Sunday he was forced to retire by a contact in the opening laps.

According to former driver Christian Danner, now a commentator for German TV RTL, Raikkonen is not only unhappy with the situation at Lotus but also with his upcoming move to Ferrari.

“Kimi is angry with his manager because he made him return to Ferrari,” Danner told Bild newspaper. “He sees Alonso in difficulty, far from fighting for victory” he added.

According to Danner, it will be a problem for Kimi to settle back into Ferrari: “Lotus gives him all the freedom he wants, and at the moment he also has a much better car. What will happen when Luca di Montezemolo points out to him that he goes to too many parties?

However, a return to Ferrari, in light of Lotus' financial problems, was perhaps the only possible path for Raikkonen.
