Raikkonen: “Second with some understeer problems”

Kimi Raikkonen is happy with the second place he achieved at the Chinese F1 GP. The Finn was beaten by Fernando Alonso but preceded Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) despite having balance problems, a lot of understeer and damage to the front wing resulting from contact with Sergio Perez.

“We lost some positions at the start and had some set-up problems” declared Raikkonen at the end of the race.

“The balance seemed good in qualifying and free practice but in the race it wasn't perfect,” he added. “I had contact with Perez and I managed the tires despite the accentuated understeer. Second place is good even if we wanted to win" concluded the Finn from Lotus.
