Raikkonen: “Tried different solutions without any problems”

Today was the first day of the two-day Formula 1 test at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. The Ferrari F14T took to the track with the Finn Kimi Raikkonen, author of the second best time of the day.

In the morning, Scuderia Ferrari worked on the development of some different aerodynamic and mechanical configurations, concentrating on set-up tests, while in the afternoon the program included a series of short and long distance laps, with checks linked to the management of the systems and a first evaluation of the Pirelli tires in the 2015 version.

The Finnish champion described this test session as follows to www.ferrari.com: “It was a normal day of testing. Having more time to run and a greater number of tyres, we were able to test various solutions without experiencing any problems. Testing the tires designed for next season offered positive sensations, but to fully understand their performance we need to wait for the winter tests with the new single-seater."

Tomorrow Raikkonen will leave the wheel of Ferrari to Raffaele Marciello, driver of the Ferrari Driver Academy program.
