Raikkonen ready to change rally teams and race in NASCAR

Far from thinking of returning to F1, Kimi Raikkonen's next move on the world automotive scene could be to participate in some races in the American NASCAR series.

This is what the Ilta-Sanomat newspaper in Finland says, which reports that the 1 F2007 world champion is ready to move from Citroen to Ford in the world rally championship.
“Funding for this project is coming especially from the United States, and Raikkonen could be offered the chance to compete in some races in NASCAR,” the article reads.
According to some testimonies, a further possibility for Kimi could be to join Ken Block in the Californian's rally team, sponsored by the Monster energy drink.
“Kimi would be a dream teammate,” said Block, explaining however that the budget needed for the second car is a fundamental aspect.
Ilta-Sanomat cites sources within Citroen, according to whom negotiations between Kimi, Citroen itself and sponsor Red Bull “have reached an impasse.”
