Raikkonen: “Lotus improved at the end of free practice”

The Finn is satisfied with the balance of the E21

Kimi Raikkonen can smile at the end of free practice on Friday for the Malaysian Formula 1 GP. After the victory in Australia the Lotus driver started the weekend in the best way possible with the second time in Free Practice 1 and the best time in Free Practice 2.

“It was a particularly good day,” admitted Raikkonen. “We changed a few things on the car and made progress, towards the end of the sessions we were where we wanted to be” he added.

“We lapped a bit in the wet, these are conditions that often occur here and the car seemed good” explained Raikkonen. “We ran with a lot of fuel on board so I don't know where we will be when everyone is light for qualifying but I'm happy to be where we are and I expect a reasonable performance tomorrow.”
