Raikkonen has renewed with Lotus for 2013

Kimi Raikkonen has renewed his contract with Lotus for the 2013 Formula 1 season. The announcement was made in a video released this morning.
The 2007 world champion, who returned to F1 this year after competing in the WRC for two years, is currently third in the drivers' championship.
The renewal of the contract was now taken for granted. The team had an option for 2013 based on results, which they achieved comfortably.
Despite yet to win a race since his return, Raikkonen has achieved six podiums and has been very consistent, picking up points in every race apart from the Chinese GP and completing every lap in 2012 so far.
