Raikkonen is a shareholder in F1's Lotus

Kimi Raikkonen is also one of the shareholders of the former Renault F1 team which will be renamed Lotus from 2012. According to El Mundo Deportivo the 2007 world champion would have purchased a share of the team controlled by Genii Capital.

“He could be the first driver to own a team for over 20 years” we read in the Spanish newspaper.

According to El Mundo, Raikkonen had proposed the idea to Williams but the agreement fell through "perhaps due to the listing of the English team on the stock exchange".

Together with his managers David and Steve Robertson, Raikkonen also owns the “Double R” F3 team.

This year Raikkonen competed in rallies with his own Ice1 Racing team, which is also active in motocross.
