Raikkonen: “A representative race of my season in Budapest”
Iceman had to retire due to a breakdown while in second place
He could certainly have gotten on the podium in Budapest and made his many fans who have crowded the Hungarian stands since Friday morning rejoice, but instead Kimi Raikkonen suffered yet another stroke of bad luck while he was stable in second place.
“I started well, I overtook the Mercedes and joined Vettel who however managed to take the lead – said Iceman in the conference – The car was going well and there were all the conditions for a good result, then suddenly I felt from noise that something was wrong with the power. From the garage they tried to fix it, but in the end I had to withdraw. It's a shame because the team deserved a double."
“Overall I would say that this race is quite representative as far as my season is concerned – he added – On several occasions I demonstrated that I was fast, however for one reason or another I was not able to collect. We hope for a more consistent second part of the season."
