The Jorda-Mouton controversy continues
The Lotus tester said she was hurt by the words reserved for her by the current FIA delegate
Once the F1 engines were turned off, the controversy between them was rekindled Michele mouton e carmen jorda, a driver whose existence no one knew until she appeared in the paddock armed with the inevitable shorts and Lotus tester stripes.
To remind us of the issue, the 1982 WRC vice champion had defined the entry of the Spaniard as motivated by "marketing and political reasons", to the detriment of talented and deserving girls such as Simona de Silvestro, Danica Patrick, Susie Wolff and Beitske Visse.
“Her words surprised me a lot because, having never had the chance to talk to us, she isn't even aware of my plans – the 27-year-old told Iberian Marca – She did well in the rallies and was a source of motivation for the women, but we are discussing completely different worlds. Personally, I have often invited her to the garage to see for herself what my function is, but I have only received refusals".
