Brake and grip problems ruin Force India's qualifying in Singapore
Adrian Sutil and Tonio Liuzzi are very disappointed with the outcome of qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix. The German driver had grip problems in Q2 while his teammate also had brake problems in Q2.
Adrian Sutil – Pos 16:
“Overall it was a very frustrating qualifying session for us. In Q1 everything went well with the hard tyres, but then when we switched to the softs in Q2 we didn't find an improvement. We actually had less grip and were stuck in traffic, so my fastest lap was compromised. It all went badly so I'm disappointed. And tomorrow it will be tough to overtake but if there is a safety car or something unexpected we will do our best to take advantage of it.”
Tonio Liuzzi – Pos 17:
“A very disappointing result for us today. We had the pace in Q1 but then in Q2 I had problems with the front brakes. It was very strange because we have never had this problem this weekend. So I lost the best of the tires and therefore my best lap. We now have to hope that something happens during the race so we can take advantage of the situation as it is very difficult to overtake here.”
