A rainy and dark Grand Prix expected in Malaysia
di F1 editorial teamApril 1, 2009
Nico Rosberg's fear of poor light and heavy rain appears to be coming to fruition at this weekend's Malaysian Grand Prix. "If the monsoon comes down, the race will have to be suspended," the German driver said this week. The Malaysian Meteorological Department forecasts thunderstorms in Sepang for the whole week, with a worsening between Friday and Sunday.
If we also add the start at 17pm, to facilitate the European television audience, there is the risk that the sky on the Sepang circuit could be very dark.
"I hope it's a safe race but on Monday it rained very heavily for the duration of the race," the circuit's top official, Razlan Razail, told the local Star newspaper.
