Porsche has not denied rumors that Mark Webber will drive a new prototype for Le Mans next year.
After the controversy over the team orders not respected by Sebastian Vettel in Malaysia, the Australian is already looking for alternatives to Red Bull, which he would leave at the end of the season. According to the German newspaper Bild, Porsche has already contacted Webber with a view to a possible hire for 2014.
A spokesperson for the German company told the SID agency: “Porsche already has a successful team of drivers at an international level. This is a very good basis for the cockpit assignment for Le Mans. We will decide later whether to add further drivers” explained Oliver Hilger.
