Porsche confirms the hypothesis of its own F1 team

Porsche's new CEO, Matthias Mueller, has admitted that the German brand is considering returning to Formula One. The rumors, which started last week from the Paris show, are starting to take shape and we will certainly know more in the coming weeks.

Wolfgang Dutheimer, director of research and development, revealed that the brand is not simply considering returning to supply engines, as it did in 1991, but is thinking about doing things big: “If Porsche were to return to Formula One then it would only be with its own team, because it is necessary to have complete control over all factors including the car and all the technology that revolves around it".

Then he added: “Porsche is a very profitable company, if we wanted we could afford it.”
