Pirelli chooses the tires for the Austrian GP
In Spielberg there will be soft and supersoft
di Chiara RainisApril 28, 2016
For the ninth round of the 2016 season in Spielberg (30 June – 3 July) Pirelli will field the following three compounds: P Zero Giallo soft, P Zero Rosso supersoft and P Zero Purple ultrasoft
These are the tires for the race:
1 set of soft P Zero Yellow
1 set of super soft P Zero Rosso
The tires assigned for Q3 will be:
1 set of ultra-soft
As per the regulations, there is an obligation to keep the softest compound for the last phase of qualifying, which will then be returned to the supplier by the 8 drivers who qualify for Q3 while it will be available for the race for all the others.
The 10 remaining trains (out of the 13 in total) will be freely chosen by the teams
