Perez: “In Bahrain I showed the critics what I can do”

After the sixth place obtained in Bahrain and the duel without any fear with the expert teammate Jenson Button Sergio Perez he was reassured. Having started the season below expectations, thanks to the performances shown in Sakhir the Mexican now feels he can look to the future with confidence.

“We went through some difficult moments, but I think it was just a phase – he confided to Autosport – I never lost faith in myself and I always believed in my possibilities. I finally proved to my detractors that I am capable of doing well and that the strategy and pace of the car can change the race approach. In the last grand prix I managed to attack and the result was a nice surprise."
